John Craven is a Michigan resident and a Vietnam Veteran.  He is an active member of the D.O.V.E. Fund (Development of Vietnam Endeavors), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the poorest areas and people of Vietnam.   John has recorded his memoirs in a book titled A Legacy of Hope - One Veteran's Journey: Turning My Disadvantage to an Advantage for Others.  All proceeds from this book and other fundraising efforts go toward the cost of building a Jr. High School in Vietnam to honor John's three fallen comrades, George C. Davenport, Jr., Wayne Robert Elkins, Sr. and William F. McLaughlin and their families.  Although there is no initial cost for those wishing to own the book, John's hope is that all who read it will feel moved to make a tax-deductible donation to the D.O.V.E. Fund, and help him realize his dream.
